| 内容記述 | The aim of this study was to ascertain the performance of Japanese handball teams in terms of the relationship between technical errors in attack and final scores of international matches over a 10-year period in comparison to other teams. The matches analyzed were 28 handball matches in Japan’s domestic league (JAPAN) and matches against national teams from Asia (Asia) and Europe (Europe)．All matches were recorded and the video of those matches was analyzed. The percentage of goals with respect to all goals scored, the number of successful attacks, the number of technical errors, the percentage of successful shots, and the percentage of technical errors were calculated. The number of successful shots, the percentage of successful attacks, and the percentage of technical errors in each match served as predictors of a win. The percentage of successful attacks by European and Japanese teams differed significantly (80.1 ± 3.9% for European teams vs. 72.9 ± 4.8% for Japanese)．Japanese and Asian teams had a significantly higher percentage of technical errors (27.1% for Japanese teams, 25.5% for Asian teams) compared to European teams (19.9%)．The percentage of successful shots by different teams did not differ significantly. However, the percentage of technical errors was closely inversely correlated with the percentage of goals with respect to all goals scored. Results suggested that final scores in international and national handball matches may reflect a decrease in the percentage of technical errors by the winning team. |
