| 内容記述 | 2D drafting has been the primary technical document in mechanical design for the past few decades. Over the years, several companies have introduced 3D-CAD and started to utilize 3D models. Therefore, 3D annotated models （3DA model） and Digital Technical Product Documentation （DTPD） have recently broad attention due to the standardization of 3D drafting. However, In Japan, the situation persists where 2D drawings and 3D models, which have been in use for a while, coexist in the process from design to manufacturing. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Science and Technology Kokushikan University offers drafting education that is compatible with DTPD, aiming to train engineers who can comprehend and use the fundamentals of creating 3D product information addition models and Digital Technical Product Documentation in mechanical design education. In this paper, we analyze the current state of ‘Machine Design Drafting and Digital Technical Product Documentation’ at our university, consider the use of 3D-CAD in mechanical design education, and discuss future issues in mechanical design education. | |||||||||||||||||
