| 内容記述 | The reaction path Hamiltonian (RPH) by Miller et al. is based on a multidimensional reaction pathway. This pathway is represented by displacements Q_μ orthogonal to a one-dimensional minimumenergy pathway and an intrinsic reaction coordinate q. Despite the importance of the RPH in the theoretical understanding of chemical reactions, verifying its formulation is not easy. In the present paper, we formulate a multidimensional reaction pathway based on the theory of normal modes and derive the RPH using canonical transformations. On the basis of these checks, we investigated the conditions under which a multidimensional reaction pathway is necessary to describe the reaction and under which the Hamiltonian of the reaction system can be well approximated by the RPH. | |||||||||||
