| 内容記述 | At the 23rd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, held in Osaka in 1999, the Greek team won a silver medal in the all-around group event, and furthermore achieved first place in both group apparatus events. The Greek team utilized a Greek folk dance, “Syrtaki : Zorba’s Dance”, as a motif in their medal-winning routine. There are many similar examples, including numerous prize-winning routines, of national teams incorporating the music and dance of their nation into choreography at major rhythmic gymnastics competitions, thereby asserting their national identity. This study elucidates the artistry of the said rhythmic gymnastics routine from a multifaceted perspective, which includes aspects such as the Code of Points and the costume design, and also from the standpoint of ethnology, a field that studies the cultures and societies fostered in the European continent in a cross-cultural, multilateral way (Yugeta. 2020, p.3). While rhythmic gymnastics technique is currently developing at a rapid pace, the development of both technique and artistry will be essential in future. The routine presented in this study achieved a balance of both technical and artistic aspects, demonstrating the importance of advanced technique in combination with a twofold quantity of artistic elements in a routine that remains outstanding even decades later. | |||||
