In response to this situation, the government has started the “Urban Liquefaction Countermeasure Project” to prevent liquefaction. In Ibaraki Prefecture, liquefaction measures based on the Groundwater Level Lowering Law were implemented in Tokai Village, Itako City, Kashima City, and Kamisu City. However, Hitachinaka City and Inashiki City could not take measures because the consent of the residents was not obtained.\nIn this paper, we analyzed the seismic motion, topography / ground, and construction history of each area where liquefaction damage was large, and compared the actual situation of groundwater level drop using this project.
