There is a problem of bubbling within a laser-welded plastic substrate due to concentration of heat generation by irradiating a Gaussian distribution laser beam. To attain excellent quality on welding of plastics, “top-hat beam” by homogenizing the distribution of laser intensity was applied in this study.
