| 内容記述 | This study aims to discuss the ideal way of competitive Judo in the modern era by exploring past and modern concepts of “competitive judo.” The results of this study show that according to Jigoro Kano, the competitive elements in judo are: 1. Attack by Nage (throwing), 2. defense by Nage (throwing), 3. attack by Katame (grappling), 4. defense by Katame (grappling), 5. physical ability, and 6. Spirit (thinking and tactics). This study shows the need to add the important element of Kumite, as offence and defense by Kumite” are important techniques in modern competitive judo. However, their essence lies in creating an opponent’s bad posture or one’s own good posture. Moreover, as “offence and defense of Kumite” are developments of the “Kuzushi” (break), the first of the three components of Nage, we see that judo has continued without major changes from the time of its founding. | |||||||||||||||||||||
