The three points below are examined to discuss Japanese policy regarding foreign residents and the current status of their integration.\n1) How did they get through school life in Japan?\n2) Perceptions about their ethnicity.\n3) Perceptions about the relationship between Japanese people or Japanese society and themselves.\n　　From the interview data the helpful effects of governmental and private support for foreign children is confirmed. However, in institutional situations such as police stations, hospitals and places of employment they experienced discrimination and occasionally felt inferiority and anxiety stemming from their ethnicity. They pursue carriers that make use of their ability to use the Vietnamese and Japanese languages.\n　　The necessity of further investigation in the interviewing process, relations between interviewer and interviewee, where the story is created was
