Forty-five high school tennis players participated in this study, and the training period was 4 weeks long, including imagery, concentration, and self-examination for competition. In the evaluation, the Diagnostic Inventory of Psychological Competitive Ability for Athletes(DIPCA.3)was used as a questionnaire. The following results were obtained: 1) After mental training, there was significant improvement in four items(selfactualization, self-confidence, decision, judgment)and total score. 2) High-level tennis players with national competition experience were significantly higher than other players, irrespective of training, in desire to win, desire to compete, cooperation and total score.
